New Starting Point新起点
I am guilty, and ashamed this blog is in a shabby and hideous condition haha...
I have been busy or rather out of sorts since I returned to the news desk.
Feel work has a clean fresh start since I cleared much of the stuff before i left. However, the new list of backlog is building up slowly and surely :P (ok,shan't bore u)...On Friday, I could feel my enthusiasm returning to my soul, which means I have officially recovered from my post-hols blues.
A few good things have come my way since I returned. New starting point.
And did several interviews which is rather interesting (but no time to upload photo yet).
Saturday was spent attending to 3 job assignments/functions. It must have been a long time since I returned home before the clock strikes 12 on a Sat night, and to think I spent my time doing hand-wash laundry just now till 2am! One of those quirks.......

I went:
1.Marina Mandarin TUNCH food review
Yummy tiramisu! found it when I expected buffet food to be of normal standard, but the tiramisu conquered my hard-to-please tastebuds! and the laksa was good too. Ate so much (tried everything except the herbal soup which I realised I forgot to try in retrospect), still feel full now :P No wonder I have gained 500g of weight :(

2.Singapore Biennale 2006
I still have difficulties pronouncing "Biennale" (I would do the Italiano way Brian taught me: B-NA-LE), interviewed fren's fren, young Sg artist Brian G. Tan and bumped into director of "Beautiful Boxer", i have that show's VCD but never got down to watching :( which brings me to the point I haven't seen any shows for a loooongg... time :(

SB06 is well-organised and the volunteers are warm and friendly. At first I tot they shouldn't impose a fee, but $5 seems reasonable to sustain the operations :) tanglin camp/Loewen Road is hard to access though, but it is the same area as Dempsey Road, your wine-drinking secret paradise :) SB@Tanglin Camp have some reallie cool and interactive multi-media installation which i would talk about in my upcoming Design story :)
Their works made me more aware of things around me. Artists are really sensitive bunch of pple. they pay attention to details (which reminded me I was in awe of each and every painter I saw in Europe--they paint so well technically).
3.dinner at e top of the world
which I didn't really enjoy. I was expecting a sit-down dinner but it turned out to be a standing event :( Had to q up for buffet-style serving, tho the free flow of Moet & Chandon champagne was a big plus for the guests.

Relieved at this moment, I can FINALLY sleep in tmr (睡到自然醒)with no engagements, and Monday is my off day! First time I felt I am giving time to myself, to rest my soul since I returned from the Long Vacation. =)
Some gimmicks I like:
1.new champagne to try; 2. Patissier muffin..luscious; 3.an Antique house I visited, can you believe he owns清·道光年间的《诸子家训》?! ; IMF-MOS journalist-liasing night :P
