回忆很美，只因有你

I m actually very happie after the trip ;) though I may feel grey initally, but I have picked myself up and sorted out my feelings :)

thanks kids for the superb memories, you will remain my topic of conversation for a long time to come. And your presence brought about the change in my opinions :)

昨天
昨天的心情有点blue，因为昨早5am从“重庆/三峡《联合早报》游学团”返回新加坡，结束了8晚6天的旅游。

带队中，每天都睡不到6小时…… 却总结出我得到了在天上的那种快乐。

我第一次陷入严重的post-holidays blues，心情一直亢奋难安。而且一直和朋友/同事/老板gush about the kids I met。太爱你们了。回想前天的这个时候，我还在三峡的西陵江上……在江北区做最后一天的购物……真是舍不得。

Back to reality的不愿意。这次，太好玩了。

(writing in English as it is faster, though I'd like u kids who are reading my entry to learn some chinese writing from me :P )

我第一次和这么多人旅行，第一次爱上和学生相处。

I have to admit before the trip, I don't like kids (other than my future daughter :P) and don't find them extremely cute creatures on earth. Firstly, it is because I seriously think that I cannot understand and communicate with the Gen Z teenage kids; and they appear to be a disrespectful bunch after hearing what teacher-friends shared with me. As for younger kids under 10, I am under the impression they are all crying babies and gets in your way in shopping mall, short of making you trip. Thus I never considered teaching as a career option, and I never knew I could teach anyone anything.

BUT all these opinions were changed since this trip, I can handle kids after all. I was their surrogate mother/teacher who nags them to take their meals and dun fall over e railings, on top of playing and chatting with them :P I fell in love with these kids!
之前怕不能很好和学生朋友相处的恐惧烟消云散。我甚至爱上了可爱的孩子们。

I am truly blessed, as I set off this journey in an ill-prepared manner (as usual rush rush rush). I could only use "blessed","excellent" and "perfect" to describe this trip. Everything went so well. And you know what, I initally ask for 西安 tour, so it was fate I led 重庆tour afterall :) 西安, I will still go on my own in future :)

I am soooo.. glad none of these bad scenarios happend :P
1. no kid fell into the 长江 *touchwood, but with all the chasing and sword-fighting duels Pri School kids carry out on Victoria Cruise deck, it is worrisome and my and Chien Ling's huge responsibility to ensure their safety*,
2. no kid was severely sick/hospitalised *these sensible kids are really independent and know how to take care of themselves, the minor cases of flu, stomach upsets, ulcers, sore throats, fever were remediable with simple medication*
3. no belongings were lost or anyone being robbed *except for SharXX's on last day last few hours :(*
4. no quarrels/fights among students*though the Caucasian tourists on cruise complained our kids are rowdy, they are expecting a 5-star experience, but ........ :P*

And I am so glad these happened that helped me accomplished my task:
1. Excellent guides 杨斌 and 于玲 from local travel agent service. They are kind-hearted and genuine pple, we are friends now. The kids missed Yang Bin dearly.
2. ALL MY LOVELY KIDS....... I took care of the 23 sec school kids who went 求精中学 for exchange. After day 1, the kids were very quiet and poorly acquainted among themselevs; day 2, they began to raise the noise level which was a good sign; by day 3, I could tell they were obedient kids cuz they listen to my commands and I can 放心一点! By day 5, I am proud to say I know all my 23 kids' by their names.

These kids are punctual, although they may be playful or try to talk me out of things like "don't want to go buddy's house to stay for a night" and give excuses but they still went in e end. Most kids enjoyed their stay with their China-buddies :) 重庆pple, from traffic-police to stall vendors are one of the friendliest（及热情、好客）pple you can find in China. So are the students and our guides :)

3. good weather of 15 deg C.

4. 报告会was well-done: the sec sch kids have to present a 10-15 mins verbal essay-report to everyone on the last night of the tour. And they took me by surprise! It was very well-presented, well-cooperated and I did not have to "push" them, the 4 team leaders took the initiative to organise the team members in between breaks and completed well-researched pieces *applause*

An introduction of my well-brought up and good-natured kids:
1. the 8-pax 新民中学 gang:
With whom I bonded with and hung out tog, cuz we are of the same frequency, dat is we are fun-loving and crazy :P Beneath their 爱玩会闹个性，I find them sensible and matured. The gals are even more thoughtful than me! They even nicknamed male guide 杨斌 and me as their "DADDY" and "MUMMY" :)


2. the 6-pax 新民中学girls:
the sweetest, friendliest, most caring and most artistic girls can be found in this clique.

3. SharXX and her bros:
Charming siblings who went on their own. I saw for myself the test of their sibling-hood during the trip :) You three did extremely well and demostrated you are capable of being independent to your parents *proud* I am sure you all made lotsa new friends too. And SharXX commented, she was surprised youngest brother JMY starting to speak Mandarin! *yeah!* Chubby JMY is my favourite cute kid on board :) I ask to give him a hug each day, and he'd look at me smilingly and nod his head before I go ahead to give him a tight squeeze :) Having JMY around makes my day!

4.JL and the rest of the guys:
nice, shy, kids in this clique appear to be quiet but they will show off their talents in the most unexpected moments :) Bravo!

5.the legendary young swordsmen:
what can I say about military toys-deprived kids.

But I am just too overwhelmed by the lovely kids that i cant stop talking abt them :P Now I can finally understand why my fren JAS enjoys hanging out with her church teenage kids :) cuz they are simply great!
能认识你们，有缘和你们同行是这次我最大的收获！
每天上演《一个都不能少》的桥段，幸好我的担忧是多余的！
路途中，随着一天的过去，我的责任就少了一点，完成任务的日子就近一点，心就放心一点；但与此同时，你们就失落一点，笑声就多一点，希望日子过得久一点。
天下没有不散的宴席，存在照片中的回忆会永恒，日后生活里保持联系才是懂得珍惜。

多了你们这些新弟弟和妹妹，是我的荣幸。
