被电脑病毒侵害，而变得残废。看实践幌过，却无能为力。

没有电脑写稿、更新blog和MSN的日子，我的mid-20s生活无疑被科技主导了。我借由它发泄我的喜怒哀乐，寻找我的七情六欲，荒废我的些许光阴。

i never had such sore legs for a long time...my new Schu heels are quite comfy but it cant take my weight for 9 hours of standing around too well. It almost broke :( my legs I mean.


12 noon: Swissotel Merchant Court's famed Ellenborough Cafe food tasting for thai food promo, it is not bad, chef from Bangkok to start off with. But dun have my fave green curry today, tho' it'd be served when the buffet kicks off tmr. The all-time fave+signature Durian Pengant is a must-try! Dun care if cholestrol rise up.......durians, defines a Singaporean :D


2pm: meet up w Jansen & Shanmin to discuss about possible news coverage for Singapore Jewelfest 2007.



4pm: left clarke quay area to go to Canon Digital Lab building at HarbourFront, went to ... One (deg) 15 Club for 22 new CANON products launch. The area where we went is nicee.... diff from where Singapore Fashion Week Press Conf took us the other time I went.

I still so not think Sentosa Cove is pretty, looks like quite shabby...the houses can be built w a more...white-coloured Miami style I feel, not ur typical house-house...got what I mean?


Back to Canon, I already have my eyes fixed on IXUS 860IS, with hands stability function. Up to 8 megapixels (but i usu.. record on 3 MG Jpeg form), the RRP is S$599, worth for my consideration... cuz my Nikon got Lens Error, I kinda tortured it by putting it in my bag and exerts pressure on it :( *my fault*


Not only my camera CMI, my browser kena VIRUS-ed via MSN downloads. :( went for Symantec report yesterday, I am one of the victims for the rise in Trojans, Spyware and BOT, cuz I think my systems is embedded with all of them now! so the key is: Prevention is better than Cure. and also, invest in ur anti-virus software, dun end up being compromised like me :( can cry, takes 20 mins to open a browser.



7pm: went w Veronica from marketing team to the launch with OMY @ a very special location--Clarke Quay's water fountain, aka Central Atrium. for once tonight, the fountain was put to rest and we stood on it to launch the online sister portal: http://www.omy.sg/. do support us!

看着由我报分支出去的主任掌管的OMY的trade launch，有一个新小孩诞生了。大家穿着bright粉红色出席，很有朝气。令sentimental的我想起去年4月中在red dot building的<我报>诞生会。姐姐还在嗷嗷待哺，妹妹隔年就出生了。做妈妈的会不会很累？周围的亲戚消化得来吗？希望大家带着兴奋和乐观的心情抚育这位妹妹茁壮成长。

well, by now, those who likes sociological films would have seen it by now. from Bowling in Columbine to Farenheit 911, he had demonstrated his prowess in telling a slice of the reality on important issues facing US thru interviews and data collecting. *impressive*


anyways, I just want to say: hope Singapore would not end up like US's capitalistic medical systems where patients' life/health are dependent on private insurance companies, and who simply cares more about profitting and declining claims, than to pay out and help. I do support welfare-system in the medical field, like in Canada, UK and France he cited, the socialistic medical systems not only work well, but brought about positive impact on pple's lives. Since Spore is moving towards an aging society, it is high time to review the approach we adpot. Is capitalism the best way or the only way to go and govts simply make her subjects pay pay pay?

n a last note, I fulfilled my childhood dream of being a covergirl. i.e. to appear on glossy papers. i still remember as a photogenic (and am still is) and innocent young girl, I send in my photos/neo-prints to the then-GO! Magazine, and yes, it was published twice..in the last page among like many other phots/neo-prints!


Do buy a copy of Nov's <女友> to see my shoot and short interview. I am oh-so-excited.



I also Facebook-ed it, within a week, got 57 friends, cuz they sent invites thru Gmail, which is a powerful platform, but quite a lame website. It may have more gimmicks, but Friendster is just more... sustainable. and perhaps, there are more work contact than old frens on FaceBook since I use Gmail to send mails a lot. US is quite off this site, and yet Asia is starting to pick up. must be some marketing forces driving it?
