Sweet 16th ZOUK quite a bore for me

I was an innocent positive girl at 16, full of hopes for the future, wanting to pursue my interest in arts and/or chinese language. It was the age when I studied hard and scored for Os...
Zouk turned 16 on Sat, and qualified to take GCE O levels (smart pple can skip this though). I was looking forward to the party, thinking it would be smashing, but quite the opposite.
Theme was Back to School and retro and stuff... these are the misses:
--the card says 9-11, and prog only starts at 11, lucky i reach at 10 but was yawning away while waiting
--the long-awaited prog was only 30 mins..consisting of stylists parading and dancers dancing.
--the invited crowd saw many young faces, still a kid's crowd i.e. pple in early 20s.
well, I wasn't planning to stay for long and the mood wasn't high when I decide to head home at 12 midnight. I guess if you go in a big grp or is one of the socialites who have many many Zouk frens, dat'd be fun.
I can't help but wonder, is Zouk losing its attraction with the array of new competitors like St james and MOS/Cannery? Still, there is the Zouk girl in me, in many pple.... the understated cool-ness when u mention the very word "Zouk". I miss it, and I am sure I will be back again post 1AM for the swinging party, for parties dun start after mid-night these days.
