contentment

hehe, firstly, I just wanna showcase my Hello Kitty plaster which I tot was darn cute!

Went two places for work today:

1.taking in an awesome seaview at Labrador Park after an interview at The Olive which I went on two consecutive days. This is a MUST-VISIT place which I will be recommending in coming Food Issue...


2.Haw Par Villa~ 华轩 Made in China @ Food Issue......
this place just rakes up fond memories of some 20yrs ago when I visited it with my ah-ma(who has passed away) and parents and cousins. It was the IN place to visit back then, and I remember the water slide... the Dragon-passage boat tour.

A consolation the colours of the monuments never fade much.Sadly, as vibrant as the colours may be, the place's attractiveness seems to fade with time.

Why were we so easily contented by a visit to HPV in the 80s? the happie & simple 80s, the period I grew up in.......

I concluded it was due to the lack of attractions, or rather lesser distractions back then, that made us contented with just a visit to HPV to see the figurines and take pix.Now we have computers, travel made easy etc. to keep us occupied, who still reminiscence about the past or go to parks anyway?

It was bustling, and packed on weekends from what I remembered.A huge contrast to the current state HPV is in now, I'd say. Too bad, I just passed by, didn't have time to go in and take a good look.
